I have just spent a week on McClay Island with my sister and her partner at their holiday home and this is the view from the back veranda, we had breakfast out there every morning, so peaceful only sounds were the birds.

These photo's were taken during Victoria's horrific bushfires. I could have put photo's of the fires here but too many people have done that even when they weren't their photo's , so I decided to show you some of the sunsets I took with the smoke covering the sky.

7-02-2009 Black Saturday the sun was only visable for about half an hour the rest of the time it was covered with thick smoke .

17-02-2009 The fire at Beechworth had started up again.

Taken about 5minutes before the bottom one.

Last night of smoke in the air.

I took the Grandkids to Woolshed Falls today and was shocked at the sight of them , there is just a trickle of water flowing and the pool at the bottom is black. The river that it flows into has completely dried up it's now nothing but dust.
We then drove into Beechworth and pigged out at the bakery and of course the wonderful Lolly shop. There is still a fire burning up there, lots of smoke in the air but it hasn't stopped the tourist they were everywere which was good to see.

I haven't been around for some time as I have busy doing other things. Here are a few photo's of sunsets I have taken locally. Hope you like them.
